This website is a biographical diary of uncountable trips covering 85% of the planet.
We required a brand name that was available in both gr and com domains which was our greatest challenge; the chances of locating available ‘travel’ domains was slim. Actually, it’s almost the same odds as winning the lottery…
It was a great challenge and an exasperating experience, but Two Yellow Feet is known for its determination to succeed. The solution struck us once we had broken through the barriers of limitation. ‘MY TRAVELLING DAYS’ and it was available as a duo!
The design was formed with a handscript font to inspire memories of travelling. The font was edited to deliver a truly unique style of lettering. The coloured ribbons around the edge symbolise culture and the many flags of the world.
Additionally, we designed a second logo to better serve the horizontal aspect of the website header.
‘NON-STOP AROUND THE WORLD’. A phrase that says it all. Lena and Christos, the two insatiable travellers of My Travelling Days, do exactly that: for a few months a year… they don’t travel!
This website is a totally customised website, created and hosted on our proprietary cloud CMS, One Yellow Cloud. With an enormous amount of images and videos, and so many specific demands and technical requirements, this project could have never been built upon a common open source CMS platform (like WordPress) and endure so many interventions successfully.
Bilingual, responsive, complex. In the desktop version’s homepage there is an interactive google map, with all trip routes charted, based on coordinations, and with all stops marked. Inside the trips, there is a functional scrolling horizontal route bar. Infinite number of pages, full of information and images. And all of the website is 100% manageable by the client.
A project for which we can really take pride that very few would have been able to pull through, with such expertise and persistence.
The project, although it took us a lot of time and effort with its complexity, was completed successfully. Now, we know how big and difficult it really was. Many thanks to Two Yellow Feet, we are excited with the result!
